Gary Hamrick

Gary Wayne Hamrick, age 65, of Spindale, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Carolinas Continue Care Hospital in Kings Mountain. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Farris and Bobbi Bone Hamrick and retired from the North Carolina Highway Patrol. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda Griffin Harton of Forest City; daughters, Amy Bland and husband Clint of Ellenboro, Holly Hamrick of Spindale and Taylor Hamrick of Marion; three grandchildren, Carson Bland, Abby Bland and Griffin Bland of Ellenboro. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park with honors accorded by the NC Highway Patrol. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Florence Baptist Church, 201 S. Broadway, Forest City, NC 28043.
