George Franklin Henson, 94, died Wednesday, December 15 at White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Cofer and Jessie Sutton Henson. He was retired from Bridges Auto Parts in Forest City and a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Alexander Baptist Church and the Bechtler Mint Knife Club. He is survived by his wife, Polly Powell Henson of Rutherfordton; daughter Janine Dodson of Forest City; son Rick Henson of Forest City; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.Obituary
