Grover Taylor, age 88, of Forest City,went to be with his Lord on Monday, June 23, 2014 at his home. A native of Polk County, he was the son of the late Lindsey and Nanney Owens Taylor. Grover was a member of Grays Creek Baptist Church, a US Navy veteran of WWII and a retired vehicle transport driver. Grover enjoyed stock car racing, baseball, cars, and dogs. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wanda White Taylor of the home; daughter Holly Mae Morgan; son Augusta Lee Pearson; grandchildren Greg Sizemore, Nate Sizemore, Kaitlyn Sizemore, Heather Hudson, Elizabeth Kisner, Taylor Henderson, Chelsea Pearson, and Alyssa Pearson; six great grandchildren; one sister Betty Luther of Columbus, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Christina Pearson. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. John Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park with military rites accorded by Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday, June 25 at Crowe’s Mortuary.
