Guedio Simpson Obituary

Guedio Max Simpson, 56, of Rutherfordton, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at his home. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Maxtell and Mamie McCombs Simpson. Guedio was a stencil operator at Eaton Corporation for 29 years. He loved his children and grandchildren, fishing, hunting, his dogs, being outdoors and going to the mountains to visit family. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Debbie Jones Simpson of the home; son Shannon O’Riley of Waynesvillle; daughter Cindy Bolden of Canton; grandchildren Austin, Tyler and Riley Bolden of Canton and Hunter and Alaina O’Riley of Waynesville; sisters Leanna Thomas Jay and Sheila Simpson Horn of Forest City, Teresa Thompson Walters of Rutherfordton; and best friend Wayne Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Thomas Byers. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday September 20 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Wyatt, Rev. Shannon O’Riley and Leanna Thomas Jay officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
