Hazel Bridges
Hazel Virginia Bridges 82, of Forest City died at her residence on July 14, 2009. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Joseph Lee Walker and Lola Johnson Walker. She was a graduate of Carson Newman College and a retired social studies teacher from R-S Central High School. Hazel was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Hazel is survived by her husband J.W. Bridges of the home, daughter Cynthia Bridges Hines of Forest City, one grandson, Three sisters Inez Morgan of Forest City, Annie Moore of Creedmore NC and Martha Calton of Denver NC. A visitation will be held on Friday July 17, 2009 from 6-7:30 PM at Crowe’s Mortuary. The funeral will be conducted on Saturday July 18, 2009 at 11 AM at the Mt.
