Helen Stewart age 62, of Rutherfordton passed away on Monday October 23, 2017 at Givens Estate in Asheville, NC. Helen was a math professor at the University of North Carolina Asheville, Brunswick Community College and most recently Isothermal Community College. Helen loved her family and friends and was a faithful member of Green Hill Baptist Church where she played in the Praise Band. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers Steve Stewart of Weaverville, Mike and wife Susan Stewart of Rutherfordton and David Stewart of Franklin. Services will be held 2PM Wednesday November 1, 2017 at Green Hill Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Green River Baptist Association at 668 North Washington Street Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
