Helen Joan White, age 76, of Rutherfordton, died Wednesday, December 26 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Zack and Mattie May Hicks Searcy. She was a retired spinner and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Tommie Earley of Rutherfordton and Jody Earley of Inman, SC; two daughters, Anne Arrowood of Rocklin, CA and Christine Tavernia of Caroleen; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer Lee (Tommie) Earley Sr. and a brother, Parks Searcy. A Memorial Service will be held 3:30 Friday, December 28 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. William Swink officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 prior to the service at the church.
