Hoyle Arrowood

Hoyle Max Arrowood, age 92, of 1883 Cove Rd Rutherfordton, widower of Bonnie Nix Arrowood passed away Sunday afternoon at Oak Grove Health Care. Hoyle was a native of Rutherford County, a US Naval Veteran of WWII, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, retired machine operator in road construction as well as service station attendant. Left to cherish his memory is his grandson Jonathan Arrowood, great grandson Jacob Arrowood, daughter in laws Kathie Arrowood and Jackie Arrowood Wingo; brothers Chalmer (Betty) Arrowood and Earl Arrowood and a sister Ruby Holland. In addition to his wife Bonnie, Hoyle was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Lula Melton Arrowood and a son Neil Hoyle Arrowood and several brothers and sisters. A celebration of the life of Hoyle Arrowood will be held 2 PM Thursday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Darley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday prior to the service.
