J. D. Miller, age 88 of Spindale, died Thursday, March 24 at Rutherford Hospital. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Harrison Samuel and Bertha West Miller. He was a retired weaver and a member of Spindale Church of the Brethren. He is survived by one son, Danny Miller of Spindale; one daughter, Regina Parker of Knoxville, TN; brother, William Miller of Virginia; sister Pauline Whitlock of Spindale; daughter in law, Teresa McFarland of Casar; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Rick Miller, brothers, Paul Miller, Earl Miller and Howard Miller, and sister Pearl Hill. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 25 at 11 AM at Spindale Cemetery with Rev. Perry Jones officiating.
