Jack Clayton Rhodes Jr, 59, of Forest City, died Wednesday, August 21 at Hospice House. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of Eleanor Smith Rhodes and the late Jack Clayton Rhodes Sr. Jack was a truck driver, working for Turner Trucking for ten years. Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, is his wife, Loretta Bailey Rhodes; two sons Aaron Rhodes (Tracy) and Greg Rhodes (Mary); three grandchildren Breann McMurry, Matthew Rhodes and Shayna Rhodes; four sisters, Debbie Almond, Joan Worley, Diane Smith, Pam Bradley; brother Little Jack Rabb; mother in law, Alice Bailey; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a niece, Morgan Hodge and father in law, Claude Bailey. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, August 24, at Community Worship Center, Spindale, with Rev. J. Jeffords, Rev. Warren Elliott, and Rev. Dot Miller officiating. Interment will follow in M and T Ministries cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8PM Friday, August 23, 2013 at Crowe’s Mortuary.
