James Crawford

James MC Crawford, 83, of Rutherfordton, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Benjamin Harrison Crawford and Effie Lou Hayes Crawford. He was a retired iron worker. James was an avid hunter and fisherman. Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Josephine “Jo” Alley and Betty Lou Brons; brother, Ralph Crawford, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Fred, Worth, John, Harold, Clyde and Calvin; and sisters Martha Dunn, Hazel Guffey, Lela Morrison, Myra Rabb, Annie Mae Early and Pauline Crawford. A memorial service will be held 2PM Saturday May 20, 2017 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2PM before the service. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to a favorite charity in Mr. Crawford’s name.
