James “Jim” Berry Taylor, age 79, of Rutherfordton passed away Sunday at Accordius Health Care. Jim was a native of Rutherford County, owner of Tri-City Appliance, a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Navy. Preceding him in death are his wife Donna Henry Taylor, parents Ross and Mae White Taylor, siblings Bob Taylor, Alma Queen and Rachel Conner. Left to cherish his memories are his children Susan Pearson (Bobby), Kenneth Taylor (Tina), Gary Taylor (Hope); 2 grandchildren Kendra (Dakota) Turner and James Pearson; siblings Bill Taylor, Lillian Frazier, Dennis Taylor, Peggy Cooper and Donald Taylor. Private services will be held for the family at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jack Crain officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
