Jeffrey Neal Culbreth, age 60, of 341 Baber Rd. Rutherfordton passed away Tuesday March 20, 2018 at his home. Jeff was a native of Rutherford County, a member of Spencer Baptist Church, a graduate of East Rutherford High School and Isothermal Community College and was employed at General Fireproofing, Regtrol and Afa. Preceding Jeff in death is his father J Y Culbreth, mother Helen Ray Scoggins and step father Glenn Scoggins. Left to cherish his memory is his brother Philip Culbreth and wife Gail of Rutherfordton, nephew Chris Culbreth of Chapel Hill, niece Angela Ridge of Raleigh aunt and uncle Barbara and Kevin Phillips of Hickory, his faithfull companion Skynyrd and his friends at Lake James who he thought of as family. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jeffrey Culbreth will be held 11 AM Saturday at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
