Jess Willard Hill, age 84, of 1900 Cove Rd. Rutherfordton went to be with his Lord on Thursday April 24, 2014 at Hospice House in Forest City. Willard was a native of Rutherford County, the son of the late Gaither Claude and Annie Mae Whitesides Hill, a member of Piney Knob Baptist Church and was a plumber by trade. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 65 years Lois Virginia Hill of the home, son Arnold Larry (Kathy) Hill of Gaffney, SC, daughter Rita Faye (Alan Bowen of Rutherfordton, sisters Wilma Hall and Reba Mode of Rutherfordton; grandchildren Michelle (Shane) Jackson of Tryon, Chris (Krystal) Hill and Jon (Kerry) Hill of Duncan, SC; great grandchildren Austin, Jacob, Noah and Seth Jackson of Tryon and Peyton, A J , Durham and Garrett Hill of Duncan, SC Funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM Sunday at Piney Knob Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Brown, Rev. Shane Jackson and Mr. Chris Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 -3 PM prior to the service.
