Jimmy Ray Street, age 78, of Forest City, NC, passed away Sunday April 3rd at his residence. Jim was the son of the late Harvey Linley Street and Rosa Pauline Lancaster Street. He is survived in death by his wife, Edith Elizabeth Browning Street and three children: Linda Hollingsworth and her husband Luther, Mike Street and his wife Mary, Kathy Crowder and her husband Paul. In addition he is survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren: Kevin Street and his wife Jennifer of Rutherfordton, NC and their 6 children: Ashley, Luke, Trevor, Toby, LinleyRae, & Dallas; Connie Street of Belmont, NC; Kyliegh Kite and her husband Robert of Mooresboro, NC and their 3 children: Justin, Ian, & Aaron; Jerry Crowder and his wife Tara of Ellenboro, NC and their son Ryan; & Sarah Hollingsworth of Asheboro, NC. He was preceded in death by siblings, Ruby Atkins, Ruth Street, & Howard Street and is survived by sisters Eunice Campbell & Becky Watkins. Services will be held on Wednesday April the 6th at 11:00AM at Crowe’s. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of McDowell County.
