Joyce Walker Zink, 76, of Forest City, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at her home. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Edmond and Sarah Luna Jenkins Walker. She was a retired nurse, having worked on a cruise ship and in nursing homes. Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Jean Walker Daves of Forest City; brother, Charles Hubert Walker of Sandy Mush; sister in law, Linda D. Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Oliver Wendell Holmes, sisters, Lorene Walker Pitchford, Dorothy Walker Arrowood, Shirley Walker, and brother, David Walker. Memorial services will be held 3PM Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Bob Philbeck officiating. Online condolences may be made at crowemortuary.com.
