Kenneth Danny Walker, 69, of Rutherfordton, died Tuesday September 30, 2014 at his home, while being cared for by Hospice. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Kenneth Walker and Beatrice Radford Wright. He was a retired textile employee, delivered The Daily Courier for many years, and was a member of Southern Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jacqueline Helton Walker of the home; daughters Kimberly Walker Brooks Wood and husband Russell Eugene Wood of Henrietta, Sherry Walker Gunter and husband Christopher Mark Gunter of Union Mills, Lisa Walker Emory and husband Mark Emory of Rutherfordton, Tammy Walker Childers and husband Jeffrey Lee Childers of Forest City, and Jacqueline Danielle Walker of Forest City; fifteen grandchildren, Micah Leann Brooks, Kyle Patrick Wood, Haley Lynn Wood, Heather Dawn Crawford, Blaire Anne Crawford, Chelsey Brooke Crawford, Markus Chase Emory, Carson Blake Emory, Caroline Grace Emory, Chloe Beth Emory, Jordan Ryan Putnam, Jeffrey Slade Childers, Joshua Adam Martin, Brandon Trey Walker, Jaden Cameron Walker; seven great grandchildren, Rylan Blace Date, Ayla Dawn Crawford, Marissa Nicole Blankenship, Journey Marie Shepard, Isiah James Montanez, Holden Scott Moore, Zaylee Nichole Martin; brother Tony Walker of Gastonia; sister Sybil Walker Daniel and husband Ray Daniel of Forest City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandchildren Christopher Tyler Walker and Justice Daniel Walker, and brothers Terry Wright and Chris Wright. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. John Perry and Rev. Pete Bridges officiating. The family will receive friends 5-7PM Friday, October 3, 2014 at Crowe’s Mortuary.
