Lawrence Richard Porter age 80 of Rutherfordton, NC died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Hospice House. A native of Pepperell, MA he was the son of the late Ralph Whitney and Bessie Helen Wheeler Porter. He was a retired plumber. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Brenda Dodge Porter of the home; daughter Wendy Whitlock of Spindale; son Tim Porter and daughter-in-law Tina of Rutherfordton; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Peggy Rollo of Boynton Beach, FL and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday May 6th at 2:00PM at Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory.
