Mamie Elizabeth Davis Dalton age 82 of the Bill's Creek Community passed away on Saturday October 2, 2010 at White Oak Manor Nursing Center. She was a native of Charlotte, NC but resided in Lake Lure for seventy-five years and was retired from CP Clair of Fairview, NC. Preceding her in death were her husband Jack Dalton, son Perry Dalton, brother Melvin Davis and parents Jim and Georgie Davis.Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Gail Dalton Boone and Sandra Dalton Hughes, two sons; Jimmy Dalton and Scott Dalton, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one brother George Davis.Memorial services will be held 3 PM Tuesday October 5, 2010 at Bill's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Terrell Dillingham officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in the Bill's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery following the memorial service.
