Margaret Watson

Margaret Harrill Watson, age 87, died Sunday, July 15 at her home. She was a native of Rutherford County, daughter of the late Bob C. and Averice Bowen Harrill, and a member of Forest City Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Gardner Webb University. She was a home maker. She is survived by her four sons, Sam Watson of Rutherfordton; Scott Watson of Lynchburg, VA; Steve Watson of Asheville, NC; and Spencer Watson of Rutherfordton, NC; two brothers, Gene Harrill of Texas and Jack Harrill of Durham, NC; sister in law, Martha Ann Harrill of Forest City, NC; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Watson. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Friday, July 27, 2012 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Becky Stanley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Concluding services will be held at Green River Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
