Marian Lee Richardson Walke age 76 of Summerfield Lane went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 18, 2012 while being cared for at Hospice House of Forest City. A native of Dade County Florida she was a homemaker and attended First United Methodist Church of Rutherfordton, NC. She is survived by her husband Delbert Walke of the home, one daughter Jackie Patten and husband Bruce of Wake Forest; two sons – D. Lee Walke, Jr and wife Pam of Rutherfordton, William L. ” Marty” Walke and wife Jan of Rutherfordton; one brother James Summerfield Richardson of Falkville, AL; one sister Janice Opalka of Fort Lauderdale, FL; seven grandchildren – Shannon Bruins, Mandy Willets, Devyn Walke, Carissa Arrington, Anastasia Walke, Anthony Walke and Ethan Walke. She is also survived by three great grandchildren – Addison Bruins, Parker Bruins and Brooklyn Arrington. She was preceded in death by her parents William Summerfield Richardson and Mary Lee McCorvey Richardson. A celebration of her life will be held 2 PM Saturday June 30, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Rutherfordton, NC with Rev. Jack Knoespel officiating.
