Obituary
Mr. Mark Macauley Hazard age 65 of Forest City, NC passed away Thursday December 24, 2009 at Rutherford Hospital. He was a native of New Jersey, former employee of Davis Enterprises in N.J., Veteran US Army Vietnam being awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat, member of the V.F.W., member of First United Methodist Church of Forest City and an avid bowler at Autumn Lanes. He is survived by his wife Edna Mae Cannon Hazard of the home, two daughters: Christine Armstrong and Bobbie Turner; three step daughters: Britain Matchner, Patricia Armstrong and Frances Matchner: three brothers: Chick Hazard, Dwight Hazard and Scott Hazard; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 7 PM Tuesday December 29, 2009 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wes Judy officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mark Hazard Memorial Fund C/O Wachovia Bank 330 West Main Street Forest City NC 28043
