Marshall Gilliam Abrams Obituary

Marshall Gilliam Abrams May 23, 1988 “I know there’s a God above. He’s looking down on us with love. Near to us when we are broken hearted. But that doesn’t mean things won’t be hard. It’s ok to feel the dark, But through the hurt I’ll still sing…HALLELUJAH.” (Adapted lyric by Ben Kimsal) Our son, our brother, and a portion of our hearts passed on April 11, 2020. In Marshall’s life, he travelled the entire country and crossed continents, but we cherish most the times he was near us. The scope of lives that flowed through his are innumerable. He was our navigator, and now we must find our way without him. As we do so, we will remember what he taught us: be brave enough to reach for the unknown and kind enough to speak to the stranger. He is survived by parents, Lee and Dot; siblings, Chelsey, Lindy, Holden, and Whitney; nieces and nephews he lovingly called “Hooligans”, Charlea, Lyza, Ryan, Sadie Rose and Waylon; his love, Christy Marie; grandfather, Howard Wilbur Hodge; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; and his entire Chobani Family. Oh and of course, Lani and Mittens. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Elva Abrams, and Frennilee Hodge. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Marshall “Mersh” Abrams Memorial Fund with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. https://afsp.donordrive.com/campaign/MarshallAbramsMemorialFund “Slingshot Engaged” HALLELUJAH!
