Martha Hyder Koone, age 72, of 122 Sleepy Hollow Rd Forest City, died Wednesday at Hospice House. She was a native of Rutherford County, a retired bookkeeper for Isothermal Community College and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Martha was preceded in death by a daughter Ronna Koone, parents Garland and Ruby Hyder a brother Spencer Hyder and a sister Barbara Hyder. Surviving are her husband Bill Koone, daughter Dana Koone Bright and her husband Robby, grandchildren Brannon Smith, Jake Bright, Riley Bright and Hank Bright all of Forest City. Funeral services will be 3 PM Friday at Bethany Baptist Church with burial to follow in Southern Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-3 PM prior to the service. Rev. Chris Fox and Rev. Marvin Green will officiate.
