Mary Haynes

Mary Helene Melton Haynes, 86, of Spindale, died Tuesday, August 7 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of Horace Carroll and Mary Helen Davis Wright. Mary was a retired textile employee and of the Methodist faith. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Keith Melton of Spindale and Kim Melton and wife Lynette of Union Mills; grandson Garth Melton Jr. and wife Laura of Shelby; sister in law, Ruth Wright of Spindale; two nieces Lynn Kernodle and Jill Schwacke; and great nephew John Kernodle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Norris Kenneth Melton and Ernest Haynes and her brother, J.C. Wright. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Friday, August 10 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Don Ledbetter officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
