Mary Alice Littlejohn, age 84, passed away on January 3rd at Hospice of Rutherford County. She was the daughter of the late Bettie Logan and Boyce Whitesides, the wife of the late James Cornelius Littlejohn, mother of the late Charles Edward Littlejohn, sister of the late Eugene Whitesides, Leory Whitesides, Golden Whitesides, and Sallie Jane Edgerton. Left to cherish her memory are her four sons; James Boyce Littlejohn, Jasper Lee Littlejohn, G. Voran “Gvarn” Littlejohn, Cornell Littlejohn and wife Barbara, two daughters; Brenda Kay Littlejohn, Linda Sanders and husband Kenny of Asheville, NC. Eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. Services will be held at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Lure, NC, on Saturday January the 7th at 2:00PM with the Rev. AJ Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at 872 Polk County Line Rd.
