Mrs. Mary Kate Gosnell Yelton went to the Lord on Thursday, December 17, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Fonzer M. Yelton Jr and her mother, Mrs. Lucille Ware Gosnell. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Debbie Boozer and her husband Clay of Spindale, and her grandson, Brandon Boozer of Raleigh. She is also survived by her sisters, Mrs. Nancy Sims and husband Melvin of Rutherfordton, Mrs. Barbara Aiken and husband Chuck of Spindale, and a number of special nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Mrs. Barbie Rast of Asheville, her niece, for the love, care, and support during Mary’s illness. We would also like to thank the Hospice staff for their care and support, especially Miss Amy, her nurse, for the kind and loving care and support shown to Mary and the family. You are truly a blessing. Mary was a lifelong member of the Covenant Brethren Church in Spindale. A graveside memorial and celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 19 at 1:00. The service will take place at Eternal Hills, led by Pastor Russell Payne. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
