Mrs. Mergie Frances Wilson, age 79, of Spindale, died Monday, March 9. She was a native of Rutherford County, and a daughter of the late Cyrus Carson and Minnie Estelle Stallings Weatherman. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Wilson, daughter Jeanenne Annette Wilson Suttle, and twin sons, Johnny Carson Wilson and Jackie Dean Wilson. She is survived by daughters Tammy Hutchins of Rutherfordton, Kay Hyder and Kelly Humphries of Forest City; sons, David Wilson of Forest City, Tony Wilson of Mooresboro, Scott Wilson of Spindale, Clyde WIlson, Jr. of Forest City; sisters, Reba Jeanette Vance of Rutherfordton, and Shirley Shehan of Green Creek; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 11 at 3:00 PM in Crowe's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kelly Luckadoo and Rev. Roger Hudgins officiating. Burial will be held in Spindale City Cemetery.
