Michael Martin Guffey, age 63, of Ellenboro passed away on April 9th 2012 at his home. Michael worked for Timken as a machine operator. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Susan Guffey , daughters Valerie Brown, Katie Sparrow, Hope Hill, Faith Champion, Tara Rice, Tina Bowen; son, Matt Guffey of the home; brother Mitchell Guffey; stepmother Zola Guffey; stepfather Clyde Koone; and mother Frances Koone. Predeceased are his daughter Brandy Guffey; and father Elijah Guffey. Services will be held Thursday April 12, 2012 at 2:00PM at Long Branch Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Bridges officiating, burial will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Wednesday April 11, 2012 at Crowe’s. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
