Nancie Tate Sarvice, age 67, of Shelby died Tueday at NC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late J.C. Tate and Eva Odom Smith. She was a home maker. She is survived by two daughters, Crickett Hogan of Ellenboro and JayJay Harrill Welch of Newton, NC; son Samuel Crawford Harrill III of Cliffside; sisters, Tempie Bridges of Shelby and Elaine Kennedy of Campobello, SC; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Friday at Liberty Baptist Church in Ellenboro with Rev. Owen Duncan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 4819 Park Road, Suite C, Charlotte, NC 28209.
