Mrs. Nettie Blanton 98, of Spindale NC died on Wednesday March 4, 2009 at the Hospice House in Forest City NC. She was a native of McDowell County and the daughter of the late I Walter and Lula Culbertson Walker. She was the widow of Raymond Blanton. She was a member of Spencer Baptist Church in Spindale and had worked for many years with Lance Crackers. She is survived by sisters Maggie Thomas of Anderson SC and Geneva Roberson of Forest City NC and a brother Ivy Walker of Spindale. The visitation will be held on Saturday March 7, 2009 at Crowe's Mortuary from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 PM in Crowe's Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Billy Vaughn and Bruce Caldwell. Burial will be in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ellenboro NC.
