Mrs. Pearline Elizabeth Tomlin Dills age 96 went home to be with her Lord on Friday May 21, 2010. Born in April 19, 1914 in White County Georgia she was a homemaker and widow of Willie E. Dills. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her father Frank Houston Tomlin and mother Mattie Louise Black Tomlin; children – Mellie Louise Dills, Billy Franklin Dills, John Norman Dills, Paul Roger Dills, William Everett Dills, Jr., Bobby Gene Dills; brothers – Arthur Tomlin and Ray Tomlin; sisters Bessie Wilburn, Gertrude Wilburn and Viola Turner; one grandchild – David Dills. At the time of her passing Mrs. Dills was the oldest member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include one son Daniel Dills and wife Doris Alexander Dills of Forest City, two daughters – Shirley Roach and husband Tommy Roach of Forest City and Joyce Ruppe and husband Roger Ruppe of Forest City, one brother Dewey Tomlin of Spartanburg, SC and number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A private service will be held Sunday May 23, 2010. Final resting place will be in the Spindale City Cemetery.
