Peggy Teague

Peggy Pace Teague Baynard, 74, of Union Mills, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Henderson County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Wade G. and Blease Newman Pace. Peggy was a graduate from the Rutherford Hospital School of Nursing and she retired from Rutherford Hospital as a nurse where she dedicated her life to serving others. She was also a member of Vein Mountain Baptist Church. Peggy is survived by one son, Douglas Teague of Rutherfordton; three daughters, Teresa Teague of Rutherfordton, Amy Stott of Rutherfordton, Julie Shell of Rutherfordton; two step children, who she loved as her own, Tony Baynard of Mooresboro and Renee Hardin of Rutherfordton; three sisters Sue Ward, Genell Jespersen and Margaret Boone all of Saluda, NC , fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Builo Baynard and Charles F. Teague and grandsons, Bryson Shell and William Bennett. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Vein Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Gouge officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Church Sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vein Mountain Baptist Church, 10229 US Hwy 221S, Marion, NC 28752.
