Peggy Jean Vickers Weeks, age 75, of 2969 US 64 Rutherfordton passed away Monday November 9 at Hospice House. Peggy was a native of Rutherford County, a retired seamstress and a member of Second Baptist Church in Rutherfordton.
She was preceded in death by her parents Buford Lealand VIckers and Mary Belle Ensley Vickers,a brother Millard Vickers and a daughter Deborah Jean Weeks.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years Rupert Spencer Weeks; daughter Vicki Lynn Abernathy and her husband Keith of Inman, SC; son Ricky Lealand Weeks and his wife Myra of Rutherfordton; sisters Sylvia “Donnie” Downey of Rutherfordton, Mary Waters and her husband Larry of Golden Valley, Sandra Hughes and her husband Steve of Forest City; sister in law Joyce Vickers of Maiden, NC ; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Thursday November 12 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. At other times the family will be at 2969 Hwy 64 Rutherfordton, NC
