Mrs. Rachel Catherine Smith age 76 went home to be with her Lord Friday April 9, 2010 at Hospice House of Forest City. A native of Rutherford County, homemaker and member of Fork Creek Baptist Church she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Lidia Mae Walker Street and widow of Bobby Dean Smith.Left to cherish her memory are two sons - Ronald and Phil Smith both of the home; one brother – Rev. Hubert Street of Bostic; one sister Drucilla Street of Forest City and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.A celebration of life will be held 2 PM Monday April 12, 2010 at Fork Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Cogdell, Rev. Hubert Street and Rev. Landon Rice officiating.
