Ralph Dixon, 87, of Spindale, passed away Monday September 9, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Gilbert Foster Dixon and Lona Geer Dixon. Also preceding him in death was his wife of sixty five years, Dorothy Haynes Dixon. Ralph was a retired Finisher in the Textile Industry and he also served in the US Army during the Korean War. Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Linda Atchley and spouse Gene and Nancy Meaders and spouse Jud; sons, Leonard Dixon and spouse Carolyn, and John Dixon and spouse Tracy; six grandchildren, Ginger Turner, Jeremy Atchley, CJ Meaders, Amanda Wilson, Joshua Dixon and Caleb Dixon; two step grandchildren, Dalton Shehan and Mercedes Walters; and fourteen great grandchildren. Ralph is also survived by a sister, Mabel Bostic. In addition to his wife and parents Ralph was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Meaders. Services will be held 5:30PM Thursday September 12, 2019 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Brown officiating. The Rutherford County Honor Guard will provide Military Honors.
