Ruby Greene

Ruby Garver Greene, 91, of Forest City, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Ruby entered this world on November 10, 1920 to the late Alfred Garver and Ethel Rippy Garver. She was a homemaker and worked in textiles until she retired. She was also a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Marshall Greene, and two children, Billy Ray Greene and Ansley Greene Terry. Left to cherish her memory are sons; Earl, Wayne, Miles, Rocky, Ricky, and Donald Greene, daughters; Barbara Cook, Milan Gatlin, and Wanda Smith, special grandson Terry Hodge, 29 Grandchildren, 42 Great-Grandchildren, and 19 Great-Great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2PM Tuesday, February 21 at Crowe’s Chapel with the Rev. Dale Owens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Ross Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelby NC. The family will be at 138 Jennifer Drive, Forest City, NC 28043.
