Rudolph (Rudy) Lee Edwards age 82 passed away Wednesday February 3, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City. Rudolph was born in Rutherford County on July 14, 1938 to the late Dr. Henry Hicks and Vernie Hefner Edwards. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Rudolph was a 1955 graduate of RS Central High School. He obtained his law degree from UNC Chapel Hill and then he established his law practice in Durham, which spanned over fifty years. Survivors include his sister, Jayne E. Wilson and her husband Winfred, Nieces; Cindy Wright (Pete), Jill Smith (Willie) and Penny Newton (Russ). Rudy was preceded in death by siblings Walter B. Wilson and William D. Wilson. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutherfordton.
