Sharon Ann Tuccinardi Rutherfordton, North Carolina Obituary

Sharon Ann Tuccinardi

Sharon Crandlemire Tuccinardi, 73, of Rutherfordton, NC, died 4:35 PM June 30th, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, after a fourteen-month struggle with lung cancer. She was led by the Lord to the land of heavenly lights where there is no more pain, no more meds, no more falls, no more bruises; no more procedures, no more rehab, no more nebulizers, no more concentrators; no more tubing, no more walkers, no more wheelchairs, and no more appointments. Praise the Lord. Predeceased by her parents Wilmot and Edith Squires Crandlemire and sister Judy Beck, she leaves behind husband Michael at the house; sister Susan (George) Howard, of Vanceboro, Maine and Brunswick, Georgia; son Russell (Renee) of Bradenton FL; stepdaughters Andrea Tuccinardi of Tampa, FL; Lisa Tuccinardi of Rutherfordton, NC; special grandson Anthony; and a large extended family. She was born August 23rd, 1946 in Hartford, Conneticut. At an early age, her parents moved back to Vanceboro, Maine, where she grew up. After graduation from Vanceboro High School, she eventually moved to Hartford, CT, where she first worked at Pratt and Whitney, then as an accountant for a construction firm. After her first bout with cancer in 1986 (the doctors gave up, the Lord healed her), she moved to Sarasota, FL, where she decided to become a nurse, working her way up from CNA to a staff RN at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She retired from there in 2005, then moved with husband Michael to the beautiful Shiloh area in Rutherfordton, NC. She loved the Lord, studied her Bible daily, (her favorite Psalm was 84); all her activities since retirement centered around the church, especially teaching Sunday School at Spindale First Baptist, then Prodigal House. She loved teaching the kids. She was an excellent cook, and kept the house hospital clean and her husband on the straight and narrow. She implores all her friends and family get saved right now, not tomorrow. The family expresses extreme gratitude to Tommy Sims and Ernie Pinkerton, who built an aluminum ramp out front for her, donated by members of Pleasant View Community Church. Thank you. The private service will be at Crowe's Mortuary in Rutherfordton with Preacher Ricky Owens and Preacher Andy Evans officiating. Also, a graveside service will be held later on this summer in Vanceboro, ME. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 372 Hudlow Road, Forest City, NC 28043. Enough good things cannot be said about them, top to bottom. Online condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com.
