Mrs. Shirley Jean Millard Parker age 76 went home to be with The Lord on Friday November 6, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Lynchburg, VA; she is a daughter of the late Beecher Millard, Sr. and Marie Turner Millard. Shirley was a member of Village Chapel in Forest City, NC and was known for her loving and caring nature. She is survived by her husband Farrell G. Parker, four sons – Samuel Kessler, Jr; Cullie Kessler and wife Tracie; William Kessler and wife Teresa, James Kessler and wife Lynne; two stepsons – Tim Parker and Teddy Parker; two brothers – Beecher Millard, Jr. and wife Pat; John Millard and wife Lorie; one sister – Janet Graybill; ten grandchildren – Shane, Sean, Melissa, Chris, Ashley, Cruz, Ashley, Cayley, Taylor and Bailey; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held 2 P.M. Sunday November 8, 2015 at Village Chapel 141 Hardin Street Forest City, NC 28043 with Rev. Frank Ensley officiating.
