Stephen Connor

Stephen Leon Connor, 76, of Spindale, died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Floyd and Maggie Lee Cable Connor. Steve was a retired machinist, a member of 2nd Baptist Church and Rutherfordton Masonic Lodge. Left to cherish his memory is his son Steve Connor Jr. and wife Kim of Rutherfordton; grandchildren, Megan Connor of Ann Arbor, MI and Madelyn Connor of Rutherfordton; sister, Barbara Freeman and husband Alan of Rutherfordton brother, Ronnie Connor of Spindale, and lots of wonderful brothers and sisters in law as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Dukes Connor. Services will be held 12 o’clock Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Dr. Keith Stephenson and Rev. Brandon Wood officiating. Burial will be in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.
