Mr. Terry Joseph Burt 60, of Cooley Drive Forest City died on Friday July 3, 2009 at Rutherford Hospital. He was the son of the late Zeno Franklin Burt and is survived by his mother Jacqueline (Jackie) Burt of the home. He was of the Baptist Faith and loved the lord and people. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School and had attended ICC and UNC-Chapel Hill. He worked for Howard Harrill Decorating Company and was a Sears Catalog Manager for many years before he retired. He was an avid golfer and a Forest City Owls Fan. In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter Tara Jayme Wilder of Raleigh and two grandchildren. Also several aunts and uncles and other family members survive him. A graveside service will be held on Monday July 6, 2009 at 11 AM in the Joshua Baptist Church Cemetery in Forest City with the Rev. Neil Murray officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 10-11 AM in the church. Memorials may be made to Joshua Baptist Church or to the American Diabetes Association.
