Rochelle Curtis, 68, of Lake Lure, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of Hopewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Summers. Rochelle was innkeeper of Chimney Rock Inn and a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church. Our beloved Rochelle wife, mother, and grandmother was our sunshine. Her light touched so many people. Family to those who had none, she was happiest nurturing people, puppies and flowers. Every place and person is better for having known her. We will miss her but know she is surrounded by angels. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Bill Curtis; son, Scott Williams of Dayton, OH; daughter Misty Campbell and husband Jack of Raleigh; granddaughters, Rebekah Williams of Hendersonville, Rochelle Williams of Spindale, and Kelsey Campbell of Raleigh; and faithful pets Pugsy and Sammy . Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, August 4 at Chimney Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Daggerhart officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
