Everett Troy Murray age 90 of Forest City, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday June 14th 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. Troy was born on October 3rd, 1927 in Rutherford County and was the son of the late Clyde Everett and Alpha Green Murray. He was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church, Ellenboro, NC where he served as a deacon. Troy was a graduate of Tri-High School. He was the owner of Murray’s TV and Appliance Store for over 50 years in Spindale, NC where he got his nickname “Trainload Troy.” Troy enjoyed gardening and his computer. He was a devoted dad to his children and a loving Paw Paw to his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years Frances Tate Murray and his sister Jessie Murray Taylor. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Carol Murray Lattimore and husband Billy of Bostic, NC; Son, Wayne Murray and wife Nell of Rutherfordton, NC; Son Everette Murray and wife Jan of Spartanburg, SC; His grandchildren, Chadd Murray, Jason Murray and Ashley Murray; His great grandchildren Caroline Murray, Jayden Murray, Bryson Murray, and London Murray; Troy was survived by his brother, Clyde Murray of Mobile, Alabama; His sister-in-law Lucy Jane Neal of Silver Spring, Maryland; Carolyn Upton and husband Paul of Forest City, NC; and Martha Tate of Shelby, NC; Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 19th 2018 from 6-8:00PM at Crowe’s Mortuary and Crematory, 118 College Ave Rutherfordton, NC 28139. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM Wednesday June 20th 2018 at Pilgrim Baptist Church 418 Harmon Rd, Ellenboro, NC with the Rev. Bruce Duncan and Rev.
