Valerie Heafner

Valerie “Val” Porter Heafner, age 66, of Rutherfordton passed away Friday at her home. Val was a native of Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William and Wanda Yount Porter and was a pet groomer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Brooke Absher. Left to cherish her memories is her husband Tim Heafner; children Erin Stewart, Timothy Heafner and Rebecca Absher; sister Pamela Ramsey and 5 grandchildren. A celebration of Val’s life will be held 4 PM Wednesday May 1, 2019 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
