Wade Clark Harmon, 96, formerly of Chesnee, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Henderson Care Center. He was a native of Rutherford County and a retiree of the textiles industry. He was a member of State Line Baptist Church, of Gaffney, SC since 1960. Wade was the son of the late John Harmon and Laura Randolph Harmon. Left to cherish his memory are: Daughter Sarah Horne and husband John of Spindale and their children Mark Horne and wife Debbie of Perkasie, PA, and their children Alison, Andrew, and John Patrick; Charles Horne and wife Martha of Greensboro, NC. Daughter Becky Chapman and husband Bill of Rutherfordton, NC, and their children Tracy Bright and husband Carter and their children Sarah, Hannah, Caroline, Addison and Liam of Gainesville FL; Mitchell Chapman of Gaffney, SC; Dustin Chapman and wife Jill and their children Davis and Lilli of Boiling Springs, SC, and Haley Riney of Forest City. Daughter Deborah Clements and husband Stan of Rutherfordton, and their son John and wife Kristen of Charlotte, NC. Sister Eunice Dobbins of Rutherfordton, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Wells Harmon, Son Charles Clark Harmon, and siblings, Olin, Ralph, Winfred, Ray, Nyal, Drury, Hamlet and Millie. Funeral Services will be at 2PM at Crowe’s Mortuary on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, with Rev. John Godfrey officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Bostic, NC.
