William Frady

Spindale, NC Rev. William Thomas “Tom” Frady, 82 went to Heaven on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Hospice of Rutherford County. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Sue Sims Frady, parents Leroy & Fannie Lynch Frady, brothers Herman Frady and Wayne Frady and one sister Inez Frady who passed away prior to Tom’s birth. Rev. Frady served as pastor of numerous churches in western North Carolina prior to his retirement, was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Columbus, NC and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by one daughter Cheryl Lee and her husband Jeff of Rutherfordton, NC; one son Rev. Brent Frady and his wife Missi of Columbus, NC; one sister Maizel Kobyashi and her husband Tom of Boynton Beach, FL; four grandchildren – Jennifer Lee, Kevin Lee, Matt Frady, and Kayla Frady Fortenberry and her husband Josh. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday at Piedmont Baptist Church 1050 Maple Creek Road Rutherfordton, NC with Rev. William Swink, Rev. Don Hollifield and Rev. Bill Abrams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 Saturday November 26, 2016 at Crowe’s Mortuary.
