William Francis Goode, 92, of Rutherfordton, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at White Oak Manor. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Willie and Loretta Carpenter Goode. He was a retired textile supervisor, a US Army WWII veteran, and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Joe Goode, Norris L. Goode, and daughter Margaret G. Logan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Tate Goode. Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Courtney officiating. Concluding services will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
