William Walter McLaughlin age 59 of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on April 16th at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. William was born in Wayne County Michigan and was the son of Sally Lorriane Sage McLaughlin, and the late Leroy Curtis McLaughlin. William served in the United States Navy for 12 years and later worked as a boiler operator and refrigeration maintenance technician. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Becky McLaughlin; son Dustin Riner (Angela) of GA; son Christopher Miller of NY; William Blake McLaughlin of GA; Jacob Aaron McLaughlin of NC; brother James Gulley (Dawn) of MI; sister Rhonda (John) Robichaud of MI, sister Robin Olley (David) of MI; In addition to his father, William was preceded in death by a brother Braxton Gulley.
