William Steve Murray, age 69 of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, March 29 at Cleveland Pines in Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late William Ernest (Bud) and Ora Lee Hunt Murray. He was a retired textile employee and a member of Plain View Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Eunice Styles Murray of the home; two sons, Marty Murray and Michael Murray of Shelby; step daughter Donna Hill of Shelby; sister Faye Dellinger and husband Wayne of Kings Mountain; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step daughter, Susan Hill. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31 at 4PM at Crowe’s Chapel in Rutherfordton with Rev. Marshall Dill and Clyde Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow in Plain View Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
